Overall, I was a little underwhelmed, but so very impressed with the impeccable tailoring of EVERY gown. Even if the dress itself was not terribly desirable for me, the fits were spot on. This is such a huge aspect of making your style an unforgettable one. Even with the most beautiful gown; if the fit is not perfected, it will look sloppy and unfinished. Take a note from these starlets and always, always seek a professional when tailoring a gown.
My favorite look of the night belonged to Julie Bowen. I thought that her Reem Acra gown was delicate, well fitted and very lovely. Pronovias style "Adela" creates a similarly sweet cap sleeve and flattering bodice.
Come to find out, Olivia Wilde wore this gown to the 2008 Emmy Awards. As we all know, when there is a gown that is too beautiful to pass up, even if it has been worn before, a change up in styling can make it look like a completely different dress. This obviously holds true for wedding gowns as well.
I actually prefer Wilde's hair and jewelry choices over Bowen's, and if I am playing stylist for the moment, I would have switched the shades of gowns on these two beauties. The nude gown would have created a more golden glow on Olivia, and the icier shade would have stood out on Julie's creamy complexion.
There were a few hair styles that were amazing for me and would be beautiful for a bridal look.
Reese Witherspoon took the award for sexiest hair by far. This textured and full wavy style was a great compliment to the sexy shape of her gown, and would be a wonderful look for a sassier bride, just as it does for Lazaro style LZ3105.
I love the pairing of the sparkly hair band with Charlize Theron's low side swept 'do. It would make for a beautiful reception style. Tony Federici has amazing headpiece options for this chic look.
The "knotty" bridal hair look is a wonderful option for a textural take on the up do. Gowns with detailed backs, such as Pronovias's "Pergola," it is ideal to have a 'do that doesn't cover the gown while creating an interesting style that holds up without a veil.
