Forecast for Fall 2012: New York Bridal Market Recap

Bridal has gone boho-glam and bow-bananas...and that makes me a happy girl!! The runways were covered in all patterns of lace and loveliness. For the first time in years, the collections were balanced with both strapless AND strapped gowns making necklines and backs as interesting as ever!! I wanted to share an exclusive sneak peek of some of my favorite pieces.

What was the key to these inspirations? KEY whole backs..in a BIG way. Each designer presented their own interpretation of this dramatic look, and every one them owned the runway. Just imagine the beauty going down the aisle. Brides to be, call your hair stylist and create some up do looks to show off the back of these gowns. They command attention in a big way.

From floral to leaf patterns, beautiful lace was everywhere! Tiered styles and flowy, trimmed hemlines give a hint of boho, and the addition of the new skinny belt style adds a splash of glam to the mix. Perfection.

Bows, bows, bows. For me, the bigger the better, so the re-introduction to this uber feminine detail makes me gitty. Tailored creations were shown both in the front as well as perfectly placed, finishing the belts in the back. The most complimentary style to this adorable accessory is the peplum, and high-low hemlines.....and the high end designers are all over it! Think "Breakfast at Tiffany's."

Once again, sparkly sashes dazzled the runway, bringing attention to the carefully created pieces and the flattering proportions. Such a beautiful addition and great opportunity for personalization.

This season is filled with color...bridesmaids dresses in color-blocking and patterns bring ready-to-wear style to your bridal party!!
